ABOUT JQIME

The two piece teenage artist duo JQIME have risen to the industry with their self-produced, intimate tracks, known for their ’70s soul, R&B and funk inspired indie pop. JQIME’s values have been rooted in showing that music can be accessible to anyone who seeks to create, regardless of age. Rather than waiting for the “right time,” JQIME chases their dreams after school and on weekends, developing a sound that feels far beyond their years.

Building a strong presence in their hometown of Wellington, they have consistently performed packed shows in the area, playing some of the country's major festival stages such as the Newtown Festival in March 2026. They have also earned recognition for their live performances, including coming 1st place with their song ‘Intertwine’ in the regional category of songwriting competition ‘Rockquest.’

With their debut album due in November of 2026, JQIME will be proceeding with more live dates in New Zealand, aspiring to take their performances to a global stage.

The teenage musical duo is continuing to build towards their dreams, growing momentum both online and in their local scene.
